In an age in which it seems the accepted thing to substitute that which is erotic or violent for true art, it is refreshing to find an author such as Stephen Gill.

Using a simple narrative style which is perhaps more dispassionate than dramatic, Mr. Gill tells of life as it is, not as we might  like to think of. There are no traditional heroes or villains in his short stories; only real people reacting to the basic situations which are to be found in all corners of this global village. No doubt this is why Mr. Gill's characters come across with such authenticity.

This   collection of  short  stories  covers a wide range of topics in an equally wide range of settings.   It tells us that people the world over has the same hopes and fears, the same problems and ambitions.   In this book we can learn something of the universality of life, and we are enriched by that knowledge.
